This year's proceeds are going to assist a friend of our community. John Reed of rural Catawissa was diagnosed with ALS in June of 2013. John's body eventually became paralyzed which prevented him from any means of communications including verbal. John uses a special communicator by using eye gaze. This allows him to text, email, turn on lights and communicate with others in the room. Unfortunately, like all other computers and devices, software ungrades are a must. These are out of pocket expenses for his family and we want to help him to continue to have the ability to communicate.
